Quality web design and SEO isn’t cheap. But sometimes, it can be free.
Making money is nice. Let’s get that out of the way right now. There are few things more reassuring for a small business than having a stack of checks waiting to be deposited.
But success isn’t just about making money. Yes, I see you rolling your eyes over there, dear reader. But it’s true. There are deeper sources of satisfaction than making a buck. It’s always a challenge for us to tread the line between doing affordable web development, and making enough to pay the bills. We work hard to strike a balance between the two, because in order for a small business to become a large business, they need to be able to budget for services like ours: search engine optimization, web design, branding, advertising and more.
But what about organizations that aren’t businesses and aren’t looking to turn a profit, but to generate fund to help others?
Since Creative California began, one idea has stubbornly popped up again and again. With our emphasis on the success of smaller organizations, it made sense to us that at some point, we should truly give back to that community that has contributed to our success. Charity matters, and there are a massive number of non-profits out there that bend over backwards in order to be of service to those in need. But there are things that they can’t do on their own. It’s always a great thing to give something you are great at to the community, and we’d like to think that we’re great at web design.
If you ever take a moment to poke around on the gigs section of Craigslist, it’s not unusual to find listings posted by non-profit organizations who are struggling to get the word out about their existence. They know that they need help developing their online presence so that people can find them, but funds tend to be tight, so they can’t exactly throw a lot of money at online marketing. Or any sort of marketing, really. The more they spend on advertising, the less they have to actually carry out their mission.
So Creative California is rolling out a new program that we’re really excited about. Once per quarter (that is, every three months), we will build a website for a charity organization… for free.
Yes, you read that correctly.
Creative California will build a free website for a charity or non-profit organization.
That’s 100% off the regular price of our already quite reasonable web design fee. No money down, no money ever. Zero. Zilch. Nada. Gratis. We’ll build a website that not only gives a good face to an organization, but also afford the charity a venue to market itself and generate more awareness and donations to its cause. And not some cheap, two-minute web page, but a professional, quality website, just like we’d build for all of our clients.
Here’s where you come in. If you’re affiliated with or know of a deserving organization in our region (the Greater Sacramento or Bay areas) that could use our help, get a hold of us via the contact form, and tell us in a few words what makes the organization truly special and beneficial to their community. If it sounds like a group worth helping, then we’ll get a hold of them and work out the details.
Just to be clear, to qualify for the offer, the organization must be a non-profit, charitable organization whose purpose is to help people in their community in some way. If you have any questions about this, please contact us and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can. And remember, there’s a lot you can do for your community – find ways to give back to the wonderful area that gives so much to us!
